Typical Day at Learning Tree

Each session includes activity time as well as small group and large group activities. There is also snack time and play time (outdoors, weather permitting) during each session.

During activity time, children participate in learning center areas. At that time, the children explore freely while supported and guided by the teachers.

Learning centers promote growth in social skills, physical coordination and strength, and cognitive concepts.

Our staff is trained to find ways to help children make activity choices and to expand their understanding and abilities.

Group activities emphasize problem solving and help children work together. By using dramatic play, science experiments, stories, and discussion, teachers foster the child's ability to work and think creatively. An environment rich in interesting materials for children is a key component of our program.

In addition to well-equipped classrooms, we also take children on field trips and arrange for special visitors and programs to expand the children's experiences.
